Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill Team COVID-19 Statement First and foremost, we hope you are staying safe and positive during these challenging times. The Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill team sends our best wishes to everyone affected by COVID-19. Our thoughts go out to you, your families and communities. We also want to thank Governor Hogan and our State of Maryland leadership, the Equestrian agencies/federations, as well as the incredible healthcare workers, officials and first responders for their tireless efforts and communication that has been in the best interest of everyone’s health and well-being.
When we last issued a statement at the end of March, our team announced that plans remained unchanged and we would continue with the planning to make the inaugural Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill happen this October. As a result, we have received a number of inquiries about when tickets, hospitality packages and vendor village opportunities will be made available, along with policies regarding cancellation and refunds. It was our hope to announce these specific dates and policies by this time, but as we all know, the status and guidelines surrounding COVID-19 continue to evolve with many uncertainties still remaining.
Please know that as of today, we are continuing to work tirelessly to stage the event this year despite the incredible challenges and unknowns we face. Our team knows that many people are counting on us to help restart our local economy and return those in the sport of Eventing to doing what they love. However, because the road ahead over the coming months is still very much uncertain, we are asking everyone to please remain patient. We will continue to monitor the current state of affairs on a daily basis and make ongoing assessments so that our team can make the most informed decisions pertaining to tickets, hospitality packages, partnership opportunities and other related areas.
The Fair Hill Organizing Committee’s number one priority is to ensure that the Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill can be run safely for everyone involved; athletes and horses, spectators, officials, volunteers, partners, vendors and more. We will continue to keep you up to date through all of our channels as we hear more from our state leaders and governing bodies of the sport. Thanks again for your patience. Stay safe and healthy!
